Connected Journeys
- Sky, Land, Water
The Conference visual identity brings together imagery from the beautiful Yugambeh Country, Gold Coast region, and from a commissioned digital artwork by a local artist with First Nations heritage, Lauren Rogers. The iconic Gold Coast beach can be seen in the lower part of the logo, while the upper part draws from Lauren’s piece, Connected Journeys – Sky, Land, Water. ACP-i 2025 is proud to represent and honour Australia’s natural beauty and rich First Nations culture in our conference logo.
Artwork Story
The artwork tells a story of culture and connection, representing sky, land, and water Country, which are essential to our existence and at the heart of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures – we honour Country. These elements symbolise the interconnectedness of all life, echoing the mission of Advance Care Planning Australia to honour individual stories and wishes. In this artwork, there is Sky Country, with suns, moons, stars, and the Dreaming, and Country is centred in the centre circle, with a campfire, people sitting to yarn, kangaroo tracks, bushtucker, message sticks and boomerangs, and the Water Country, is at the bottom, where the motifs represent the water swirling around, as a lifeforce that sustains us.
